Chancy (Tom) Crane, 76, of 306 5th, died at 5:40 p.m. Friday (Oct. 14, 1966) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette where he had been a patient for three days. Mr. Crane had been in poor health since May. Born in Independence, IN, Sept. 27, 1890, he was the son of Sarah Hall and William Crane. Retiring in 1950 as a self-employed plasterer, he was a Veteran of World War I. He was married to Bertha M. McKinzie who died in 1918 and to Flossie E. Parker who died may 3, 1944. Surviving are a son, Richard of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. Henry Held of Lafayette; a sister Mrs. John Berlin of Attica; and two brothers, Fred of Riverside and Cecil of Attica. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the DeSutter Funeral Home with the Rev. D. W. Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Attica. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Sunday. --tch
